Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi.
Day Itinerary
Welcome to Nairobi – Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport aboard an evening flight, and after clearance with immigration, you will proceed to the arrivals area where your One More Adventure Safaris representative will meet you and assist you into your vehicle. Transfer to your city hotel for check in with the rest of the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay at: Nairobi Serena Hotel (Luxury) or Tamarind Tree Hotel (Mid – range)
Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast basis.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve (Approx 5 hrs driving time).
Day Itinerary
A sumptuous breakfast will be served at the lodge’s main restaurant from 0730 hrs. Check out of rooms by the latest 0800 hrs and meet your safari driver guide at the lobby.
You will board your customized safari vehicle and depart for the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will spend a great time, doing endless game drives for two great nights.
You will arrive at your Mara lodge in time for lunch. This evening, you will enjoy your first game drive. The Masai Mara whose Eco system is a southern extension to Serengeti National Park offers the discerning traveler a lifetime opportunity to experience wild nature at its best. Your magical Mara experience begins here with a possibility of spotting some if not all of THE BIG 5 among several other wildlife and bird species.

Day 3: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day Itinerary
You will enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives at dawn and dusk respectively when the wildlife is more active. You may also opt for a near full day game drive, departing the lodge with packed lunch with the day spent in the vast park in search of wildlife sightings. This culminates with a picnic lunch served on the banks of the Mara River before driving back to your lodge.
This reserve’s open savannahs abound with game density, prolific bird life as well as the annual instinct led wildebeest migration involving over 1.2 million Wildebeests, Zebras and Gazelles which takes place every year between July and October.
This reserve is home to the BIG 5, which are Lions, Leopards, Buffalo’s, Rhinos and Elephants amongst several other animal species. Bird-life is also prolific in the reserve with over 450 bird species having been recorded as residents of this reserve.

Day 4: Masai Mara Game drives.
Day Itinerary
You will spend another full day game drive exploring and discovering the vast Masai Mara reserve. You will head out with your guide, and spend another day exploring the park, trying to find what you missed on the previous game drives, of course, a new day, and another strange encounter.
Optional activities.
Hot Air Balloon Flight: During one of the days, you may book an optional (payable as extra) early morning hot air balloon flight over the vast Masai Mara savannah, enabling you to view wildlife and the landscape from a bird’s eye view. This is an amazing experience which is worth every penny at 480$ per person. Masai cultural experience at 30$.

Day 5: Transfer to Northern Serengeti- Travel time + 7 hrs.
Day Itinerary
After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and depart for the seemingly endless plains; The Serengeti. You enjoy a three-hour drive to the Isebania border crossing point, clear with immigration’s and proceed to northern Serengeti.
Upon your arrival at the Isabeni border, you will be greeted by our experienced guide and transferred to the Northern Serengeti National Park. As you traverse the park’s rugged and beautiful terrain, your experienced guide will introduce you to the park’s incredible wildlife. This region is famous for the Great Migration, and depending on the season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras making their way across the plains in search of greener pastures. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they follow the herds. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge, perfectly positioned for game viewing and a serene sunset over the Serengeti’s vast savannah.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti National Park to Central Serengeti.

Today begins with an early morning game drive to the banks of the Mara River, where you will witness one of nature’s most thrilling spectacles: the Great Migration River crossing. Thousands of wildebeest and zebras make a perilous journey across the river, evading the jaws of hungry crocodiles and the sharp claws of predators waiting on the other side. The drama and excitement of this event are truly unforgettable. Afterward, you’ll continue your safari en route to Central Serengeti, known as the heart of the park, where you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes. The drive to Central Serengeti offers breathtaking views of the endless plains and the chance to spot more predators, such as lions and hyenas. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where you can relax before enjoying another delicious dinner under the African sky.

Today is dedicated to exploring the heart of the Serengeti. After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti. This area is famous for its high concentration of wildlife throughout the year, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) and numerous bird species. Your guide will navigate through different areas of the park, maximizing your chances of encountering diverse wildlife behaviors and scenes. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of nature before continuing your exploration until late afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day – Overnight in Karatu.
Day Itinerary
Today, depart early from the Central Serengeti after breakfast and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world. Spend the day exploring this natural amphitheater, observing the resident wildlife which includes large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, along with predators such as lions and cheetahs. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, surrounded by the breathtaking views of this unique ecosystem. In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu for your overnight stay. Karatu offers a peaceful setting amidst coffee plantations and provides a perfect conclusion to your safari adventure.

On your final day, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Karatu before making your way back to the airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for a quick stop in Arusha or along the way to pick up some last-minute souvenirs or enjoy one last scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside. Your guide will ensure that you arrive at the airport in time for your flight, bringing an unforgettable safari adventure to a close.
