Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel

Day Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to Uganda, and later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Overnight stay at:   Entebbe Forest Lodge (Luxury) or Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe (Mid – range)

Day 2: Fly to Kasese and transfer to Kibale National Park. Travel time + 1.3hrs

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with breakfast, then Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your Flight to Kasese Airstrip, get on a morning flight at 0700 am (or opt for 1015 am). This is if you are already in Entebbe, in case you have an early morning flight arrival, you will be connected with the morning flight to Kasese Airstrip. You will enjoy the Aerial view of the beautiful changing landscape. The flight is only for 1.3 hours’ the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On arrival, you will find your driver guide waiting for you at the airstrip and warmly welcomes you, share a short briefing with you, before boarding your jeep and drive to your lodge in Kibale National Park, which is roughly a 2 hours’ drive.

Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is a home to approximately 325 species of birds which include the olive long-tailed cuckoo, Western Green tinker bird, African and Green-breasted and African Grey Parrot. It is also a home to 13 species of primates, at least 60 other species of mammals. The visits to the park are mainly paid to the endangered chimpanzees. While visiting the Chimps you can get to see other primates including the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoests monkey, Uganda Mangabey, the Ugandan Red Colobus, and the L’Hoest’s Monkey.

Arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch. But if time doesn’t allow, a warm delicious lunch can always be got at the restaurant along the route. Retire at the lodge in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Nature walk

Day Itinerary

In the morning, you will set off to the park headquarters for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. The park is known as home of primates with 13 primate’s species including the famous chimpanzees. The trek takes roughly 2 – 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzee movement. One hour will be allocated to you, to have a wonderful interaction with the chimpanzees, as you take pictures and short videos, as your local guide explains to you all the biological background of the chimpanzee as you interact. You will later return from trek and head for lunch, in the afternoon; go for a Bigodi nature walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primate and bird viewing, the walk can take roughly 2 hours, to explore the hidden treasure of this swamp, with great chance to see a number of bird species and monkeys. Later drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:  Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel time +3hrs

Day Itinerary

Have a relaxed morning breakfast, and drive to drive to Queen Elizabeth with the beautiful view of the crater lakes, you will do a brief crater lakes tour around and later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a stopover at Equator for photography, as you proceed with you drive, reach and have lunch at your lodge. After lunch, you may opt to head for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi sector of the park or just relax at your lodge.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a wildlife reserve located in Uganda. It spans over 1,978 square km and is home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and over 600 bird species. The park offers various activities for visitors including game drives, boat rides, nature walks, and chimpanzee trekking. Its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife make it a popular tourist destination for those seeking an immersive wildlife experience. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 5:  Game drive & boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day Itinerary

After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am, you will head for morning game drive in search for the morning hunters and grazers such as the buffalos, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, lions and variety of bird species that you will encounter on your game ride and later head for lunch.

After lunch you will proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to view the water dwelling birds and animals such as the pied kingfisher, African fish eagle, herons, darters to mention but a few and see animals such as buffalos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants wallowing at the mad and much more. After a boat cruise, you will proceed for a short game drive as you find your way back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travel time +3hrs

Day Itinerary

After having a morning relaxed breakfast, you will check out of your lodge, visit the fishing village, around Kazinga channel, proceed to Ishasha, for tree climbing lion search, with a short game drive and later drive to Bwindi with a panoramic view along the way, with an en route lunch. You will proceed with your drive to Bwindi. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Uganda. It’s known for its diverse flora and fauna, with over 350 bird species and over 400 gorillas. Bwindi offers a unique birding experience for bird enthusiasts, as well as gorilla trekking for wildlife enthusiasts. The park’s thick forest makes for an exciting and immersive adventure, attracting tourists from all over the world. It’s best to visit during the dry season for optimal bird watching and gorilla trekking experiences

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience and Batwa Cultural Experience

Day Itinerary

Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla trekking adventure. The gorilla trekking is always referred to as a lifetime moment, as it leaves with a great experience of meeting the gorillas face to face in the jungle. You will be given an hour upon finding the gorillas to take a great moment with them as you watch the juveniles swing from one tree branch to another. You will return for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will head for the batwa cultural experience to get the traditional and social life of the batwa cultural insight.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Fly back to Entebbe

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with a cup of coffee. You have 2 flight options returning from Bwindi, you may choose to catch up a morning flight at 0945 hrs arriving Entebbe 1125 hrs or with the afternoon flight departing Bwindi at 1405 hrs arriving 1505 hrs to Entebbe. Whatever you choose, our guide will be ready to transfer you to the Airstrip to catch your return flight from Bwindi to Entebbe for your onward flight.

Meal Plan: Breakfast & lunch.
