7 Days Congo Nyiragongo Hike and Uganda Gorilla Trek Adventure Safari, is a gateway safari to a hidden secret to Africa, as you submerge yourself in the jungles of Bwindi in search for the gentle gorillas, come face to face with them, spend an hour just looking and admiring their social daily life, trek to the summit of Nyirangongo, with a night on top, feeling a cool night breeze. Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel
Day Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through custom and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a thousand hills that Rwanda is know of, an later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight stay at: Chez Lando Hotel (midrange).

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Kivu for Kayaking or boat trip
Day Itinerary
Begin your day with a warm delightful breakfast, and later transfer to Lake Kivu for an afternoon sun set Kayaking or boat trip. You will have roughly 2 hours exploring the beauty of this wonderful lava lake, enjoying the sunset on the lake and later returning to your hotel for relaxation. Dinner will be served in time as you later catch up with the night at your lodge.
Overnight at: Paradise Malahide (midrange).

Day 3: Hike the Nyiragongo Volcano
Day Itinerary
Have an early morning breakfast, before transfer to the Congo border, where you will go through immigration process, headed to Kibati station where the hike to Nyiragongo begins, after doing some shopping in Goma town – Congo. Here you will be brief and you will set off at around 10am to start off your hike to the summit of this world dangerous volcano with glamorous burning larva on top. The hike to the summit usually takes about 6 hours depending on your energy levels. The hike is a bit tiring and hot at times since this is a volcanic mountain. At the summit you will enjoy good scenery of the lava lake and relax at the top of this volcano, the bird count here is rewarding. You will spend the night in the tents on the edge of the huge crater, as you camp around, feel the night breeze.

Day 4: Descend the Volcano and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day Itinerary
Today we shall descend to the bottom of the mountain and then transfer to Volcanoes National Park with an en route lunch. We intend to be in Goma by lunch time then we will drive to Gisenyi where you will spend your evening relaxing at your lodge as you overlook Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Golden Monkey trek and transfer to Bwindi National Park: Travel time +2hrs
Day Itinerary
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast; head to the park headquarters with packed snacks that you will take during your golden monkey trekking, to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the golden monkeys then proceed to trek golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. After golden monkey trekking, head for lunch and later, you will be transferred to Uganda via the Cyanika border to Bwindi where you will spend your night for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day Itinerary
After an early morning lovely breakfast, ready for your big encounter, you will head to the park headquarters for gorilla tracking briefing and registration before you head out to hike in search of these endangered species in the jungle (little fitness is required). The trek is usually about 2 to 4hours and then you will spend an hour with the gorillas, taking photos of your choice. Please follow the instructions of your ranger and guide through this activity as he leads you in the process of the trek. Depending on your energy levels, you may have an after lunch community walk to interact with the people around the national park, as you visit the locals and interact with them in their day to day life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Overnight stay at: Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (mid-range).

Day 7: Canoe ride at Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer to Kigali
Day Itinerary
After a delightful breakfast, you will head for a canoe ride to explore the little hidden secret of this great lake, also known as a birding paradise as the numerous islands within this lake harbors a number of bird species. You will later transfer back to Kigali with an en route lunch along the way. You will later be dropped at the airport, depending on your flight time, to catch up with your flight back home. End of service!
