This 6 days Uganda Gorilla trek and wildlife flying safari, gives you a great relaxing time, to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, for a great wildlife experience, through safari game drives and boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The safari later takes you to the soul heart of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, to meet the silverback, on your magical gorilla trekking adventure experience, with an opportunity, to get in contact with the batwa, who were the first conservationists living in the forest, in harmony with nature. During this safari, your long road travels shall be shortened with flight transfers, rewarding you with a great experience to observe Uganda from above. This will be a life time experience, with a nice safari, at great pace.

Day 1: Welcome to Entebbe – Uganda!

Day Itinerary

Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will go through the immigration protocol and on getting done, as you exit the tunnel, your driver/guide, will warmly welcome you to Uganda, and he will pick you up from Entebbe airport and transfers you to your booked accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. You will have the opportunity to rest and prepare for your safari adventure the following day. Our driver will ensure that you are comfortable and ready for an exciting and unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Uganda.

Overnight stay at:   Entebbe Forest Lodge (Luxury) or Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe (Mid – range)

Day 2: Fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with breakfast, then Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your Flight to Kasese Airstrip, get on an early morning flight at 0700 am (or opt for 1015 am). This is if you are already in Entebbe, in case you have an early morning flight arrival, you will be connected with the morning flight to Kasese Airstrip. You will enjoy the Aerial view of the beautiful changing landscape. The flight is only for 1.3 hours’ the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On arrival, you will find your driver guide waiting for you at the airstrip and warmly welcomes you, share a short briefing with you, before boarding your jeep and driving to your lodge. You will reach and have lunch. After lunch, head for an afternoon game drive in Gisenyi, to explore this beautiful park, with its numerous wildlife.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a wildlife reserve located in Uganda. It spans over 1,978 square km and is home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and over 600 bird species. The park offers various activities for visitors including game drives, boat rides, nature walks, and chimpanzee trekking. Its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife make it a popular tourist destination for those seeking an immersive wildlife experience. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3:  Game drive & boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day Itinerary

After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am, you will head for morning game drive in search for the morning hunters and grazers such as the buffalos, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, lions and variety of bird species that you will encounter on your game ride and later head for lunch.

After lunch you will proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to view the water dwelling birds and animals such as the pied kingfisher, African fish eagle, herons, darters to mention but a few and see animals such as buffalos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants wallowing at the mad and much more. After a boat cruise, you will proceed for a short game drive as you find your way back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travel time +3hrs

Day Itinerary

After having a morning relaxed breakfast, you will check out of your lodge, visit the fishing village, around Kazinga channel, proceed to Ishasha, for tree climbing lion search, with a short game drive and later drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a panoramic view along the way, with an en route lunch. You will proceed with your drive to Bwindi. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Uganda. It’s known for its diverse flora and fauna, with over 350 bird species and over 400 gorillas. Bwindi offers a unique birding experience for bird enthusiasts, as well as gorilla trekking for wildlife enthusiasts. The park’s thick forest makes for an exciting and immersive adventure, attracting tourists from all over the world. It’s best to visit during the dry season for optimal bird watching and gorilla trekking experiences

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day Itinerary

Today, have your early morning breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to the park headquarters’ for briefing, and later head for the gorilla trekking.

During your Gorilla Trekking, experienced wildlife guides along with trackers and porters will accompany you through the ever-green forest. The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, leads you to a lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After finding the Gorillas, you will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. With an estimated 850 Gorilla population in the world, spending one hour with a Gorilla family is a once in a lifetime experience! In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the batwa.

The Batwa Community visit is a mind-opening adventure you will never forget as you go for an incredible day hike in the rain forest with the elderly Batwa (pygmy) guides. See how the Batwa lived and hunted, learn about medicinal plants, and watch for animals and birds. You will share traditional dances with the Batwa, hear ancient legends and traditional songs, and join in on a mock hunting party. You can even test your skill with a Batwa bow and arrow and participate in traditional dances.

Day 6: Fly to Entebbe for departure

Day Itinerary

Meet your driver guide after breakfast at the lodge, and after you will be transferred to the Kihihi airstrip for your onward flight via light aircraft to Entebbe International Airport. Here you will connect with your onward flight home. End of service!
