This 4 days DR Congo Gorilla trekking adventure tour, rewards you with an opportunity of exploring one of the most touristic attractions in DR Congo, as you will have a lovely adventure exploring this virgin land that is just starting to open up to tourism, with everything still authentic and natural. You will experience a truly natural state with a great stunning view of the famous Nyiragongo Volcano from a distance, with a great opportunity to come face to face with the Congo Mountain Gorillas. This is a lifetime experience with one of the world famous treks. You undertake gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park.

Day 1: Airport transfer in Kigali.
Day Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a thousand hills that Rwanda is known for, and later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Congo for your adventure experience. Travel time +3hrs
Day Itinerary
After having your early morning breakfast, jump off on your jeep and start your drive to DR Congo with great view of the countryside, of which Rwanda, is known for its 1000 hills, arrive at Grande Barriere border crossing at 10:30am and ensure check-in with Virunga tourism office by 11:15am. The tourism office is conveniently located in the Grande Barriere border post building, opposite passport control, where you will have your DR Congo visa. Guests will receive gorilla and volcano trek permits at check-in which must be presented at the start of each trek. Once check-in is complete, visitors will be transported to Kibumba Tented Camp for your overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking experience at Virunga National Park
Day Itinerary
After an early morning breakfast at Kibumba Tented Camp, trekkers will head down the hill to meet with their Ranger guides and have a briefing before the gorilla trek, and later, you will drive to the starting point of the gorilla trek. The gorilla treks usually require 1-2.5 hours of hiking each way, depending on the location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After spending the allotted hour with the gorilla family group, trekkers will make their way back to camp, enjoy a late lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure, including time for nature walks and bird watching.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali.
Day Itinerary
In the early morning, guests will leave the lodge after having breakfast and be transported back to Goma with drop-off at the Grande Barriere. Later cross the border back to Rwanda and transferred to Kigali, and if time allows, you will do Kigali city tour, by visiting the genocide memorial ground, art galleries and the local market for your shopping, before being transferred to the airport to catch up with you evening flight back home. End of service!
