Day 1: Welcome to Uganda!

Day Itinerary

Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will go through the immigration protocol and on getting done, as you exit the tunnel, your driver/guide, will warmly welcome you to Uganda, and he will pick you up from Entebbe airport and transfers you to your booked accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. You will have the opportunity to rest and prepare for your safari adventure the following day. Our driver will ensure that you are comfortable and ready for an exciting and unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park. Travel time + 6hrs

Day Itinerary

After early morning breakfast by 6am, you meet your guide and drive off heading to Kibale Forest National Park; you will drive through a scenic lush green countryside.

You will enjoy an early lunch at your lodge, and after drive to the park office for Chimpanzee trekking at 2 pm, for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. The park is known as home of primates with 13 primate’s species including the famous chimpanzees. The trek takes roughly 2 – 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzee movement. One hour will be allocated to you, to have a wonderful interaction with the chimpanzees, as you take pictures and short videos, as your local guide explains to you all the biological background of the chimpanzee as you interact. You will later return from trek and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travel time +6hrs.

Day Itinerary

Following having breakfast at your lodge, we shall drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation with an en route lunch and later reach at your lodge, spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the next day’s Gorilla trekking exercise.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Uganda. It’s known for its diverse flora and fauna, with over 350 bird species and over 400 gorillas. Bwindi offers a unique birding experience for bird enthusiasts, as well as gorilla trekking for wildlife enthusiasts. The park’s thick forest makes for an exciting and immersive adventure, attracting tourists from all over the world. It’s best to visit during the dry season for optimal bird watching and gorilla trekking experiences.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Day Itinerary

Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla trekking adventure. The gorilla trekking is always referred to as a lifetime moment, as it leaves with a great experience of meeting the gorillas face to face in the jungle. You will be given an hour upon finding the gorillas to take a great moment with them as you watch the juveniles swing from one tree branch to another. You will return for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you just relax at leisure.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with a cup of coffee. You later meet your guide and hit the road to Entebbe, which roughly and 8 hour’s journey depending on the traffic, with an en route lunch. You will reach in the evening at your lodge, refresh, later dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Airport transfer and fly to Tanzania.

Day Itinerary

Have a relaxed early morning breakfast, and depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport for your early morning flight to Tanzania to proceed with your wildlife adventure.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet your One More Adventure Safaris, Tanzania Specialist guide. He will warmly welcome you, assist you to your safari vehicle, and transfer you to your Karatu hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere. You’re personal and experienced Tanzania Specialist guide not only knows a lot about Tanzanian culture, but can also tell you a lot about the beautiful national parks and sights of the country. So don’t be afraid to ask your guide questions – he will be happy to answer them all.  Tomorrow morning your safari will begin!

Day 7: En route game to Central Serengeti Park

Day Itinerary

Start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out on an en-route game drive as you travel to the iconic Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through diverse landscapes, including the rugged highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as you traverse open plains and woodlands. The Serengeti’s vast, endless horizons come into view, signaling the beginning of an incredible adventure. You may spot predators such as cheetahs or hyenas prowling the grasslands as you approach your camp. Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti, unwind and enjoy the stunning sunset views before dinner.

Day 8: Game Drive from Central Serengeti to River Crossing (North Serengeti)

Day Itinerary

Enjoy a beautiful breakfast at the lodge, before transferring to the northern Serengeti national park, this time take in as much as you can of the great Mara River wildebeest crossing. Witness the thrilling action of the river crossing of hundreds and thousands of wildebeest, the awaiting predators, crocodiles, accompanying zebras, wallowing hippos, elephants and local and migratory birds.

Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Full Day Game drives in Northern Serengeti Mara River, Kogatende Region

Day Itinerary

Early breakfast, depart for morning game drive along the Mara River. You will be waiting to cross along the river, but you will also do game drive, the Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you’re patient and a little lucky, you may even get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank. In the afternoon leave the northern Serengeti route to the central Serengeti.

Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: North Serengeti Game drives to Central Serengeti.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, we head to find good sightings for wildebeest migration and the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacles; you will spend the full day at the river waiting for migration crossing. The great migration will be along the Mara River and this will be your opportunity to see them crossing the famous Mara River full of crocodiles ambushing them. After lunch you will be transferred to the central Serengeti plains, game viewing en-route south from the Mara River valley takes you through hills country.

Day 11: Full Day Game in Ngorongoro crater – Zanzibar

Day Itinerary

Depart early for a full day in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. The crater, formed by a collapsed volcano, is a haven for wildlife, featuring diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, and lakes. Descend into the crater floor, where you’ll encounter an incredible density of animals: elephants, rhinos, lions, and vast herds of wildebeests and zebras. The crater also hosts a large population of flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi, creating a stunning visual contrast. Your guide will share the rich history and geology of this unique ecosystem. A picnic lunch amidst the wildlife provides a perfect midday pause before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

Day 12: Stone town tour, Spice tour & Dhow Cruise.

Day Itinerary

Have morning breakfast, you will head for a day excursion to explore the vibrant hot spot of Zanzibar with a tour of the Stone Town, and learn about its rich history and cultural heritage and Spice tour, which is the second income earner of Zanzibar, with a drive through a profusion of greenery in the countryside seeing, smelling and tasting a variety of spices and mouth-watering tropical seasonal fruits such as jack fruit, pineapple, banana, green coconut juice, dourian, love apple, litche, soursop ( depending on the season ) etc. Spices such as cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, vanilla, and nutmeg – are as exotic as the flavour. This is also the very best and cheapest place to buy locally made perfumes and oils.  Our guided walking tour passes through villages and spice plantations, a walk through the farms as spice farm workers climb trees, seek out specific plants and cut off various barks, letting you see, feel and taste everything. Later in the evening, head for the sunset Dhow cruise to explore Zanzibar Sea. You will return in the late evening.
