The 14 days Rwanda Uganda and Kenya Gorilla wildlife adventure safari, will reward you with a great wildlife safari experience, where you will experience a great primate and wildlife adventure, exploring the beauty of East Africa, and discovering the most visited national parks, for the great Big 5 and trek, the gorillas, golden monkeys and chimpanzees. You will encounter the gorillas twice, with a trek on both Rwanda and Uganda. This will be a lifetime adventure safari that you will live to remember. The safari starts in Kigali – Rwanda, through Uganda and ends in Nairobi – Kenya, with cross border travel between Rwanda and Uganda for gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking, before flying to Kenya, for the great wildlife safari, in Kenya. You will enjoy an incredible double gorilla trekking, once a lifetime experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali.

Day Itinerary

Welcome to Kigali – Rwanda!

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a thousand hills that Rwanda is known for, and later drive to your booked hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Day Itinerary

In the morning after your breakfast, you will meet your dedicated driver guide and visit the Belgium museumKigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn more about the 1994, Rwanda genocide. Lunch in town, then drive to the base of the majestic volcanoes with spectacular views across the five peaks at Volcanoes National Park. Arrive in time at your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trek at Volcanoes National Park.

Day Itinerary

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters. You will meet with your ranger who will brief you about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. You will then enter the forest in search of the gorillas. The gorilla trekking may take 2 – 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle and your group speed as well. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour.  After a great experience you will walk back to the starting point, meet your guide waiting for you and be transferred to your lodge for lunch, and after lunch, you can decide to relax at your lodge at your leisure or head for a cultural encounter with a walking tour to different site to get an insight of Rwandan culture. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, meet your guide, and drive to Volcanoes National Park, where you will receive the same briefing about the golden monkey trekking as the gorilla trekking, head for the search of the shy golden monkey. You will as well be rewarded with an hour, and later return for lunch, before driving off to Uganda, through Cyanika border, to Bwindi Impenetrable National Parkknown for harboring half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will reach in the afternoon, relax and later dinner will be served and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 5Mount Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, tracking the gorillas through the unique dense impenetrable vegetation, that Bwindi drives its name from, this can take several hours of challenging walking in wet and muddy conditions. To see a gorilla at the end of it, certainly makes the trekking worthwhile.  You will have a smile on your face, as you encounter the gorillas for the second time. In case you missed out on an incredible moment on your first trek, here you have a second chance to take that beautiful shot, with the gorillas. Later return for lunch and relax in the afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Bwindi to Kibale National Park.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park, and proceed to your lodge, with an en route lunch. You will reach Kibale National Park, which is known as the primate capital, hosting more than 13 primates, and many have referred to it as home of chimpanzees, due to the great trekking experience the park offers. This is the best place in the world to trek and see the famous chimpanzees at a close range. In the afternoon, retire at leisure at your lodge.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale National Park

Day Itinerary

You will have breakfast at your lodge, then drive for chimpanzee trekking briefing where you will be told the do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking, and later enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees. You will enjoy a wonderful time in this amazing park, undertaking a nature walk, as you search for the chimpanzees. Great chances to spot a number of bird species, and other primates as well. Upon find the chimpanzees, and hour will be allocated to you, and later return for lunch and in afternoon, head for Bigodi swamp walk, to explore this beautiful swamp patched with a number of bird species and primates, later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Kibale National Park to Entebbe and fly to Nairobi

Day Itinerary

Have an early morning breakfast fast, meet your guide and jump onto your jeep, find your way to Entebbe with an en route lunch, for your afternoon flight to Nairobi, landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearing with immigration, you will proceed to the arrival waiting area, where you will be met by your assigned Kenyan driver guide, who will welcome you into the country, lead you to your vehicle and transfer you to your booked hotel in Nairobi, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Explore Nairobi City

Day Itinerary

Enjoy your first breakfast in Nairobi, and later be picked up at 1000 hrs for a visit to both the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center. You will have interactive moments with young Orphaned Elephants which have been rescued from the wilderness as well as the endangered Rothschild’s GiraffeLunch will be on my own account. Return to your hotel by 1400 hrs with afternoon leisure.

Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 10: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day Itinerary

After an early morning breakfast, your assigned driver guide will be ready waiting for you, share a short briefing, before you jump into your converted 4 x 4 safari land cruise and drive off to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch and then afternoon game drive in the park. Later on drive back to your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 11: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, meet your driver guide, and drive to Masai Mara with either picnic lunch or hot lunch along the way. Arrive in time for afternoon game drive in the park. Later on drive back to your tented camp/lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 12: Full Day into Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, full day game viewing in Masai Mara with either picnic or drive back for hot lunch and proceeds. You will explore the park on a full day game drive, in search of great wildlife sights. Later on drive back to your tented camp/lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 13: Explore Masai Mara

Day Itinerary

You will spend yet another day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Your guide will help you look for more Big Cats, and any other sightings that you might have missed the previous day. You can also opt for an early morning Hot Air Balloon flight and an evening visit to a Masai Village.

Day 14: Departure

Day Itinerary

Your East African safari comes to an end. You will have delightful breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer back to Nairobi with a brief game drive, as you find your way out of the park, later hit the road to Nairobi, upon arrival, catch up with lunch at Carnivore restaurant, later proceed to the airport for your evening flight to your home country. End of service!
