Day 1: Welcome to Uganda!

Day Itinerary

Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will go through the immigration protocol and on getting done, as you exit the tunnel, your driver/guide, will warmly welcome you to Uganda, and he will pick you up from Entebbe airport and transfers you to your booked accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. You will have the opportunity to rest and prepare for your safari adventure the following day. Our driver will ensure that you are comfortable and ready for an exciting and unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to the airport and fly to Bwindi

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with breakfast, then Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your Flight to Kihihi Airstrip, Get on afternoon flight (1200). You will enjoy the Aerial view of the beautiful changing landscape. The flight is only for 2 hours’ the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On arrival, you will find your driver guide waiting for you at the airstrip and warmly welcomes you, share a short briefing with you, before boarding your jeep and drive to your lodge for Lunch. Afternoon, at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with breakfast ready for gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots together with packed lunch. You will later be transferred to the park headquarters’ where you will meet with other trekkers of the day. Group allocation depending on the guests’ fitness levels and interes, followed by briefing in your allocated groups, before you all get into your vehicles and drive to a common gorilla trekking starting point for the day. The assigned ranger guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. An hour will be assigned to you, upon finding the gorillas, and you will have a whole full hour to take photos and video’s as you watch the gorillas go through their day life of feeding as the juvenile’s play about, rooming close to their mothers. Of course you will have the opportunity to spot the silverback, who tends to be seated cool, watching over his family. When time reaches, you will say goodbye to the gorillas, and when you return, find your driver guide waiting for you. Gratitude to the ranger guides, for the great work well done, jump into your jeep and find your way to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe

Day Itinerary

Begin the day with a cup of coffee. You have flight returning from Bwindi, you will catch up a morning flight at 0945 hrs arriving Entebbe 1125 hrs. You will be met and transferred to your booked accommodation, and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Airport transfer and fly to Tanzania.

Day Itinerary

Have a relaxed early morning breakfast, and depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport for your early morning flight to Tanzania to proceed with your wildlife adventure.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet your One More Adventure Safaris, Tanzania Specialist guide. He will warmly welcome you, assist you to your safari vehicle, and transfer you to your Arusha hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere. You’re personal and experienced Tanzania Specialist guide not only knows a lot about Tanzanian culture, but can also tell you a lot about the beautiful national parks and sights of the country. So don’t be afraid to ask your guide questions – he will be happy to answer them all.  Tomorrow morning your safari will begin!

Day 6: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.

Day Itinerary

Your safari wildlife adventure begins today!

This is a far less visited national park on the circuit so you can enjoy some spectacular wildlife sightings in this vast wilderness with lower visitor densities. As you enter the park and game drive through it, you’ll pass huge herds of elephants surrounded by open woodlands and acacia trees. You will spend the rest of the day exploring the ravines and swamps which are teeming with wildlife. Passing the Tarangire River, watch in astonishment as you witness an enormous herd of elephants, ambling along the riverbank. It is common to see herds of up to 300 elephants in the dry season here, so you will really get a sense of the magnitude of these giants.

Day 7: Transfer to Central Serengeti Park via Ngorongoro crater

Day Itinerary

After breakfast at the lodge, we departed to Ngorongoro Crater.  Upon arrival, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day safari tour. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

After lunch, I leave the beautiful highlands of the Ngorongoro behind and descend into the heart of wild Africa — the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

Day 8: Explore Northern Serengeti.

Day Itinerary

Enjoy a beautiful breakfast at the lodge, before transferring to the northern Serengeti national park, this time take in as much as you can of the great Mara river wildebeest crossing. Witness the thrilling action of the river crossing of hundreds and thousands of wildebeest, the awaiting predators, crocodiles, accompanying zebras, wallowing hippos, elephants and local and migratory birds.

Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Game View in Serengeti (Mara River, Kogatende Region).

Day Itinerary

Early breakfast, depart for morning game drive along the Mara river. You will be waiting to cross along the river, but you will also do game drive, the Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you’re patient and a little lucky, you may even get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank. In the afternoon leave the northern Serengeti route to the central Serengeti.

Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Game drives in Central Serengeti.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, we head to find good sightings for wildebeest migration and the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacles, you will spend the full day at the river waiting for migration crossing. The great migration will be along the Mara River and this will be your opportunity to see them crossing the famous Mara River full of crocodiles ambushing them. After lunch you will be transferred to the central Serengeti plains, game viewing en-route south from the Mara River valley takes you through hills country.

Day 11: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater.

Day Itinerary

Early morning game drives till afternoon, after lunch leave the plains of Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Area conservation. The road leads you over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest, to the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

Day 12: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.

Day Itinerary

Breakfast, drive to Mto wa Mbu town where you can ride a bicycle at the shore of Lake Manyara experiencing zebra, wildebeest, warthog and many varieties of birds living along Lake shore.

Early lunch then drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home depending on your flight schedules.
