Best time to visit Rwanda
Rwanda is truly a year round destination. The ideal time to visit is during the dry seasons of June to mid-September or December to February. The dry season has light cloud coverage which helps to regulate the temperatures, although you may experience some rain. March to May is Rwanda’s long rainy season which can make for a wet gorilla trek, however, it is the best for photography as the environment is totally green, sighting gorillas is also easy as they are on lower altitude, due to presence of enough food and warmer temperature. However rain is always a possibility, regardless of season, while trekking in Volcanoes National Park or Nyungwe National Park.
Boosting of 3 great national park, thus Volcanoes National Park, home to the gentle mountain gorillas and shy golden monkeys, Nyungwe National Park, habitat to endemic bird species, and over 13 primate species, which canopy walk and chimpanzee trekking being the lead activities, not forgetting the beautiful nature walks, and Akagera National Park, the only savanna park, where you can encounter the BIG 5 wildlife.
