Chimpanzee habituation experience at Kibale National Park, gives you not only a great opportunity to encounter with the chimpanzee for a full day, taking pictures and videos, but as well as have an interaction with the habituates’ and researchers, learn more about the process of habituating chimpanzees and their conservation.
During a habituation tour, the family of primates will get used to your presence. They will play, eat, and relax just meters away from you in most cases. You can follow the family as they walk around the forest looking for food and observe how some members of the family fight, play, or swing from tree to tree.
The chimpanzee habituation experience at Kibale National Park, costs 250 dollars per person, and only 4 people are allowed per day, this means only 4 permits are sold on a daily basis. You will have to book your chimpanzee habituation experience in advance, especially during the high season.
The gorilla habituation experience at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, costs 1500 dollars per person, and also only 4 permits are issued per day, and this is done in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi, restricted to only 1 gorilla family that is being habituated.
The golden monkey habituation experience takes place at Mgahinga National Park, and the permit costs 100$ plus 40 dollars park fees.
