Kahuzi Biega National Park, is one of the national parks with the gorillas. Unlike the Virunga National Park, in the northern Lake Kivu, with the mountain gorillas, Kahuzi Biega National Park, harbors the low land gorillas, which is the major attraction in the park.

The lowland gorilla trekking at Kahuzi Biega National Park is the major tourist attraction at the park, with the gorilla permit being sold at 500 dollars per person. For the SADC countries, the gorilla permit costs 200 dollars per person.
