This great one day Fishing can be a full day adventure or a half day fishing adventure. You will enjoy one of the best day excursion doing great fishing adventure to the Africa’s largest Lake Victoria, filled with a number of fish species, and the Nile Patch is the highly caught fish here, however chances to trap Tilapia’s is very high too, offering the opportunity for hooking one of the world’s largest fresh water fish the Nile Perch, anyone with some free time and an interest can enjoy this day out excursion on the water.
We have been offering half and full day excursions for “catch and release” of Nile Perch and our experience ensures we know the best spots, methods and also have experienced and knowledgeable skippers who have a good command of the English language. You will enjoy modern fishing methods, with either a local canoe boat engine powered or modern speed boat engine powered depending on your budget. You will be provided with the fishing equipment and it is included in the cost, but you’re free to carry yours as well, if you have any, anything damaged or lost will need to be paid for before disembarkation. We also have a cooler box on board for cold drink storage and basic first aid box and fire extinguisher on board for your safety
What to bring on board
We suggest you bring as much sun protection as possible – hats, sunglasses, creams as it can be quite hot out on the lake (average day time temperatures are in the mid to late 20 degrees C). Strops or sandals are a good idea as you may well get wet feet – especially getting on and off the boat! Insect repellent is a good idea. A camera if you’d like to capture “the big fish” on film and a pair of binoculars if you are keen on birdlife. Light day wear such as T shirts and shorts are normally fine but we recommend a rain jacket in case of bad weather and a sweater or light jacket for cooler weather and the evenings.
